Depends on the individual..............some are outside all day, some are done outside when it hits 80 degrees.

- if golf, on grass, then probably between 1pm and 2pm - if tennis/pickleball on tarmac then probably between 2pm and 3pm but, as previous poster said, one can adapt to the summer heat quite quickly, especially if you stay hydrated. |

It’s never too hot, or cold, to play outside in the villages in my opinion. The hotter or colder the better in my opinion, I don’t like crowds. Nothing like having a sports pool or Championship golf course practically to yourself : ) Just dress appropriately, use sun protection, and stay hydrated. Below 45 and above 95 degrees are the sweet spots, most people stay indoors. And you’re correct, it beats snow (and more importantly ice) any day!

If you’re talking golf… the best time to play is early morning which is the most popular time too. Late afternoon is less crowded and a bit cooler. Mid day is very hot/humid

The hottest time of day in FL is between 2 and 4 PM. You will have to wait until after 5 PM to get any cool down. This time of year there is still over 3 hours of daylight after 5 PM.

You don’t focus on when it is too “hot.” Just go out and do what you want to do. Many prefer to golf in the afternoon when it is the “hottest” time of the day.
You are in Florida. |

7am to midnight. It’s not the heat it’s the humidity. We play pb at 7am every morning and your clothes are as wet as they get when washing them. We also play pb at 4pm multiple times a week and your clothes are just as wet but the temps are 20 degrees warmer. We golf after 6pm when the trade winds pick up a little and it seems a little cooler, but at these times, we might have to dodge thunderstorms.
You never get used to it, you just play thru it. |

I find I have largely adapted to the heat. With that being said, it is still hot. In my opinion, the mornings are the worst, as it is usually very humid. The humidity comes down in the afternoon. The temperature comes up, but it feels better. I need a jacket now when it drops below about 78 degrees now! That is very weird for me, but it feels cool on the golf cart. We like to play golf after 6pm.

It’s never too hot to swim, which is my only outdoor physical activity here until I get my knee(s) replaced. Thank goodness for 112 pools and counting. I’m on a quest to try them all. 😬 We also enjoy riding in the golf cart pretty much anytime of day.

I grew up in Minneapolis and have lived in the Deep South half of my life and have played tennis, golf, softball, and pickle ball in the hot temperatures (up to 105*), and the key is to DRINK LOTS OF WATER.
