Default Satellite Dish Disposal

We just changed our TV service from DirectV to Comcast. All they wanted returned was two control boxes. My question is has anyone disposed of a dish and post and how did you do it?

Remove and place at the curb. Comes off very easily undoing a couple of bolts/screws.......unless it is way up outta reach.

I put ours out for the recycling to collect, and they moved it across to the regular waste, who took it. A shame, as it is 100% metal.

Before I got rid of our dish I called and asked where to put it
and I was told to put it by regular trash,
and if they did not pick it up to call back for a bulk pickup.
It was picked up with our regular trash.

Put it out for regular trash and it was gone. Didn't see who took it.
