Default PODS Storage in Ocala is NOT Climate Controlled

I'd like to hear from anyone who knows from experience if that is not true.

I have talked on the phone to several people from PODS and they always "assumed that most" PODS storage facilities in FL were climate controlled. I called today and asked for specific verification and found out that the Ocala storage facility is not listed as climate controlled. We were able to change the storage location and will just move down to Ocala at the last minute.

Has anyone had a different experience? Thank you.

We had wonderful experience with PODs and did not worry about climate control. First was POD delivered to our house up north and in driveway for several weeks as we gradually loaded it. Not climate controlled. Then transport , not climate controlled. Then delivered within one week. So perhaps 6 weeks not climate controlled, most at my home and during transport. Unless you plan for long term storage (especially during the summer) it shouldn't be a big problem.

Of course dependent on what you are storing.

Same for us..ours was stored in Ocala for three months. I still can't believe our big mirror made it one piece and everything was fine. I didn't take candles or chemicals, obviously. They packed our Pod for us. Did a wonderful job. Wait ...ours was called a Sam. (From United Van Lines)

Not Climate Controlled. We had our 16' pod stored in Ocala from May-Aug 2013. I always assumed they were ALL climate controlled. Found out later after I had them in storage that it was not, would have it stored in the pick up city had I known that.

Arrived here okay, used PODS before. Not cheap. But you pay the same storage fee for climate controlled as one that is not.

When you pay more than twice as much you expect twice the service
Just saying really can't compare the two
