Default "Craig Cat" tours in Mt. Dora

I'm sure many of you have seen the "Craig Cat" tour ads in the Daily Sun. (If you haven't seen the ads, look for them.)

Mary and I booked a tour on these fun little catamaran boats in May 2012. Fun, fun, fun ... a real 'hoot. When Tanner (stepson) visited we decided to book the tour for the three of us.

But the weather intruded on our plan. As we drove toward Mt. Dora today's heavy rain (and forecasted thunder/lightning) made us realize we'd better cancel the reservation. Mary cancelled enroute, two hours before our reservation, and asked them to call us back. We hoped they would cancel the res and refund the cost ($65ea x 3). They just called, and offered a full refund; a stand up operation, in my opinion.

Background: This is not a rent-it-and-run-around operation, it a two hour guided tour. When you arrive, they put two people on each Craig Cat and give you basics of the boats very simple operation. They also give you a headset and small radio that the tour leader uses to share information, wildlife sightings, and local lore. Then you take off and head for the Dora Canal and back. There are usually four or five boats plus the tour leader. As I said earlier - it's a 'hoot!

If you're looking for something novel to do - check out CraigCat Guided Boat Tours & Boat Rental Club — Mount Dora, Florida
(No, they're not paying me for the recommendation ... darn.)

Best,
Casey&Mary
