Default Comcast Seasonal Vacation Plan Question

If you're away from home for at least three months, Comcast offers a "Seasonal" vacation plan. During you're absence I believe you have basic cable and telephone for a minimal charge. But what happens if your plans change and you're home before the three full months, does Comcast refuse to restore your full service or is there another penalty?

No. We've done this many times. All you need to do is call them and they'll restore immediately.

I just talked to someone recently who told me that it cost her more in fees, etc. to put Comcast on hold than it would have if she just continued paying her regular monthly payment?????? Never had to do it, so I don't know what fees, etc. she was referring to.

This is our sixth year using seasonal plan. They charge $5 each for internet and TV plus tax. It comes to $12 or $13 a month. We've had no problem with it.

We've used this web site " comcastseasonal.com " to put our service on Seasonal Hold for several years ago. There hasn't been any service charge at all. Although, I know there is a minimum and a maximum number of months the Season Hold service can be in effect, and maybe there is a service charge if you try to restore your service before the minimum time limit. The minimum length of time the Season Hold can be used is 90 days and the maximum length of time is 270 days.

The one caution I can state is that when the service is restored after the Seasonal Hold, any promotional discounts you might have had with your Comcast bill be be dropped and you will start paying the FULL monthly rate. You then have to call Comcast and try to get a new promotional rate, and many times that means your new monthly rate will be more than your old rate, even if you had previously had a low 1 year promotion rate but hadn't used a full year because of your Seasonal Hold.

We are using the same seasonal plan...$5 for one tv; $5 for one internet; $7 broadcast fee; + tax = $18.00+ each month.
