Does anyone know what Brier Hill Pizza is? Do you know what Isaly's was famous for? Have you heard of Idora Park?

Islays was famous for their skyscaper ice cream cones. I've been to Idora Park.

Never heard of the Pizza shop. So are you from Youngstown, or skip across the border for some good Chip Chop Ham. I remember Idora Park burning down.

You betcha! Parmasean cheese and sometimes with green peppers! As for isalys'. Back in the 80's it was my daily stop for breakfast. South avenue.......near the Coconut Grove! Everywhere you go, you run into someone from Y-town! First 18 years of my career was in Y-town.....it got in my blood.....love it!

Isaly's is famous for chipped ham. That's what we called it in Pittsburgh, not chipped chopped ham, even though I think the latter is the formal name. And then their pyramid-shaped ice cream cones and their Klondikes.

Brier Hill is a neighborhood in Youngstown, Ohio, that was once viewed as the city's "Little Italy" district. Birthplace of Brier Hill pizza is a home style recipe (thick sauce, green, peppers and romano cheese).
Isaly's ham was a staple in our home. My Mom made the best BQ chopped ham sandwich.
Idora park was a local amusement park in Youngstown, Ohio. We would go there a lot.
The carousel was so beautiful with 48 hand carved wooden horses and 2 chariots that have been restored and is currently at the Brooklyn Bridge Park in NY.
