i thought the dept stores, belk, beall's, ross, tj maxx had sections for petites. am not aware of stores just for the singular fashion...not my persuasion [and never was ]

Default Petite Clothes

Some of the department stores, such as Beall's, Belk, Anthony's, and Dillard's in Ocala have petite departments.

Unfortunately there are no petite stores in the area and the petite departments in Belk's etc., are not, IMHO, very well stocked. Your best bet is to make a day of shopping in Orlando or order online.

But, don't let that stop you from coming to this wonderful place, although it is hard to find time for a shopping day with all of the wonderful activities!

A lot of the stores have petites but they usually only go up to a size 12 or Unfortunately I need a bigger size on top and for my hips. Regular sizes are way too long. I wish they would make petites for real women. I have actually checked them all out here. I did find some shorts at Bealls the other day that had and adjustable waist band and they fit. I do better at Dillards or Coldwater Creek for tops if I buy in womens and they don't have long sleeves.

Default Try Chico's also

I never really shopped there before as they don't have a petite dept, but some (not all) stuff works well. I have the same arm problem, but some of the jackets look cute with the sleeves rolled up, and some of the other clothes fit well, just try them on. Avoid the long sleeves, but a lot of stuff, especially in Florida, are either sleeveless or have short or 3/4 sleeves, which work pretty well. Try on the Travelers line. The sales staff is very helpful.

Coldwater Creek isn't like most stores. Look for the style you like and ALL the sizes are there on one rack. Regulars and Petites. I have to help my find her clothes is how I know these things. She says I do a pretty good job.
