Default Cemetery

I heard there is a cemetery on St Charles Pl. does anyone know where the cemetery is? I can't find it!

I think you heard wrong. The Villages builds a lot of things, but not grave yards.

I don't know of a cemetery there or anywhere in the villages. May be there was one relocated from there prior to construction.

I think you're referring to the historic cemetery that's on Stillwater Trail, adjacent to the Caroline pool. Certainly nothing on St Charles Pl (that I know of!)

The cemetery on Stillwater, near the pool and postal station is surrounded by trees and shrubs, not easily seen. It is still used.

The Cemetery that is located adjacent to The Villages on Stillwater was a burial place for a group of black individuals that had broken away as slaves and were hiding and living near the swamp land near Cherry Lake per a book I read.

Yes that cemetery was there long before the Villages were built. Once heard told that the lots nearby were sold as premium lots because they were close to a historical site.
