Today, I got a call from a woman named Ashley. She told me that they had some kind of special going on. I told her I switched lawn care providers and she promptly hung up. I called her back at 727-401-6041 and when she answered, I told her I did not appreciate her hanging up on me. She them promptly hung up on me again. I then called a Trugreen # and after waiting 3 minutes, the message I heard was that there would be a 3 hour wait.
If you are looking for a lawn care company, I would avoid Trugreen. My lawn guy recommended Green Smiths Pest Control, so I switched to them and hope for better results & service.
Personally I prefer doing my own lawn care. Just don’t think lawn services are as good as they claim. I do understand most of TV people either are getting to old to do it themselves or they have more money than they know what to do with. To me it’s good exercise!

When it comes to lawn service DIY is the best action if you are willing and able. I have never had a lawn service that didn’t directly correlate to increased weeds. Keeps them in business.

Report them to the Better Business Bureau for harassment and block their phone number.

You sound like the guy with the flash light who walked his dog at the postal station and found some guy went himself before your dog could.

Default GreenSmith

I used GreenSmith for a year. Lawn did not get worse but did not look any better either.

Calling back so that the person would be fired. Seems kinda bitter.

I agree Foxmd, it doesn’t look any better! When you complain about it they always have a solution but their solutions always cost more money. Most yards aren’t that big in the TV & that’s why I say use Scotts & do it yourself, even if it takes 2 or 3 days. You can email Scotts with pictures & they’ll tell you exactly what you need. I always got compliments about how good my yard looks. Sometimes a lawn service would stop & give me advice on what to do, which helped most of the time.

No, they are very different. I had TruGreen for a couple months and dumped them - terrible. I have been with Zoysia Green for about a year and they have been fantastic, for fertilizer, insect killer and weed killer.

Maybe (?) the poster meant to convey he/she wished to give them feedback to help THEM. I know, I know, most just want to complain, but on the "other side of the coin", so many businesses could really benefit by not taking every concern, suggestion, and even complaint as "just one more of those old coots in the Villages griping their heads off", many large and small businesses would benefit greatly by being more open to why people no longer want to do business with them, instead of just instantly getting very defensive. Same goes with lawn maintenance people, why instantly get so defensive and nasty (and many DO) if someone offers feedback. That goes from small businesses like around here to giant companies like Comcast, it's almost the standard any more that owners to CEO's really do want to be "kept in the dark" about the actual performance of their company/employees/services ! ? Go figure, gathering feedback is a very important part of running a successful business !
