Default window repair

I discovered the outer glass is cracked in the upper metal sash on my home.. I would like to get it repaired immediately. I will remove the sash for the repair but need a referral on where to bring it. Can anyone with experiance with this repair tell me also if this is a one day job. I don't want to leave the opening unsecured any longer than I have to.

You may wish to search TOTV for earlier conversations. I know these folks repair windows:

Don’t do anything crazy like trying to remove the top (fixed sash) of your window unless you know what you are doing. If it is an insulated glass sash as you stated( double pane) then there is no rush. I would call Romac and get them to replace it.

Default T&D Window Fiasco

I have had several broken seals in my home, which I bought new, 4-2/2 years ago. I have located another. Previously T&D Windows has replaced the failed units, charging labor, as the glass is warranted. As of last month, they no longer service their windows that were installed by them. The Villages warranty Department, recommended other vendors, but we’re not accepting calls, or their number were out of service. Where is the Accountability for this absurd reasoning?
