I've always had good luck selling things right here. Go to the classified, take some pictures and write a little information.

I'm not a lady, but to answer your question. Nearlee New on 441/27 in Fruitland Park will only sell good furniture that must look showroom new. The owner is very picky about what she will accept.

That is hard to believe. I sent a neighbor over there about six months ago looking for a living room set. He's very picky, he didn't even like what Babettes had. He found a leather set for a good price. I would to say the woman is honest, I wanted to sent a TV stand over there in June and she turned it down. She could of easily took it, sold it, and never heard from again.

If you think your dining room set is too good to turn over to Bargains and Treasures, why wouldn't you try to sell it on TOTV?
How much do you plan to ask for it?

Unfortunealtly furniture probably depreciates faster then automobiles. Once it is in your house, even if sat in only once, its value becomes pennies on the dollar. It is " valuable " to you, but not so much to anyone else.

Just so folks know....I had a Lexington (top of the line) Bob Timberlake bedroom set before we moved here. I spoke with a consigning person and he told me I'd probably make 10 to 20% of the price we paid for it. He said you can't get what you think the items are worth from used furniture. We ended up not selling it but kept it in the family instead. I'm often amazed on TOTV what folks will ask for items.

BUT in answer to your question there's a consignment store in Ocala that's "fine" and is located next to a health food store. It's on Silver Spring, I think. Can't remember the name.

I agree. A friend bought a furnished Premier home and wanted to put her Grand Piano in the dining room and tried to sell the beautiful dining set that came with the house for something NEAR it's worth.. She got very little for it.

I wonder if someday dining at dining tables with cloth napkins and matching dishes saved for good occasions with be laughed at as quaint old customs.

Not a lady either. However, I would highly recommend "Furniture Barn" in Fruitland Park. Honest and respectful owner's. I'm amazed too at what some ask for items listed on TOTV not only furniture but also houses.

Agree. I've bought and sold a number of things on TOTV. Don't ask too much, though, or you'll get no interest. As others have said, used furniture is never worth as much as you think. Sell it yourself and you won't need to share the proceeds.
