I agree! I was merely explaining roofing scams DO exist. I do not want any homeowner to fall victim. Whenever ANYONE comes to your door and asks for your insurance information, be suspicious. Replacement of shingles due to a warranty issue is not a scam. No one will ask for your insurance provider. It is a BIG DIFfERENCE.

Whatever happened to adjusters showing up at your house to check the roof? Seems to me that a $8K+ claim would trigger a review by an adjuster, especially when the roofing scam is so prevalent. It sounds like the insurance companies are negligent in their due dilligence.
