Lowes has some very nice waterproof vinyl planking that I think would look very good in my Lanai. Has anyone tried this to see if it holds up?

It seems relatively easy to install and if I can get confirmation that it's suitable, I will readily do the install.

You're experience would be greatly appreciated.

I'd be concerned about the mold & gunk between it and the concrete when rain blows in or condensation between the two causing mold also.

If enclosed I would say go for it.
If mesh, the damp from rain and humidity could be a problem.
Personally I would stick with concrete, or non slip tile.
Could be slippery when wet as well, as can some tiles.
Your local Gecko's tend to skid when in a hurry on vinyl, and prefer the grip of concrete!

I would go to the manufacturers website or call the manufacturer directly and ask them about your specific application. I recall asking about this a few years ago and was told that some products do not like a lot of sunlight and tend to fade or fail due to excessive UV.
As notes above if the lanai is enclosed then Mohawk Luxury Vinyl Plank might be a very good choice. I installed this in bedrooms, closets, and hallways a few years ago great product. It is 100% vinyl, 100% waterproof, and flexible. It is installed directly over concrete (No under layment per mfgs instructions). It can be cut with a utility knife (NO dust) or a specialized heavy duty cutter. I would still confirm with Mohawk about your application.

I've installed it before on concrete and it's one on the easier DIY type things that can be done. Seeing as quality Luxury Vinyl Plank tile can be bought for $1/sq ft and up. I think it might be worthwhile to just try it out after researching what best practices should be done for underlayment (if any).

I installed Lowes Luxury Vinyl Plank in my lanai myself and have never done it before. Easy! BUT/BUT I have an enclosed lanai. I would have it done in my whole house if I needed to replace the existing flooring. It's great stuff! I even left some scraps of it outside on my patio to see how it held up in rain and heat and finally threw it away months later. It looked the same as when I originally left it out. Traditional laminate flooring is not normally waterproof and is damaged by moisture. This stuff is great for kitchens too. If you choose to install it yourself, pick up a cheap installation kit that helps you with getting the stuff to fit properly in tight areas.
