Default Villages Dentists

Hi,
Looking for some input on experiences with village dentists. Will be needing some crown work and not familiar with local dentists. Any input is appreciated.

If you go to the top of the page (green bar on my page setup), toward the right is the SEARCH function. I ran a quick one and many threads came up, too numerous for me to copy and paste the links for you. But a few of them are very recent, so those you should read first.
Even the threads where people are complaining about their particular dentist will have responders listing their favorite dentist.

Default Magnolia Dental

Magnolia Dental on Hwy 441/27. Phone 352-245-0780. Dr. Sanchez and Dr. Hernandez (Husband/wife) do an excellent job at reasonable rates.

Marion Dental Group. On Hwy 441 a couple of blocks north of Buenos Aires. My dentist is a Ukrainian guy, very good and knowledgeable.

What impressed me about Marion Dental Group (aside from the quality of what they do) is that they don't try to sell you anything you don't need. My first visit there was when I lost a cap on a front tooth. I fully expected a crown as my former dentist in Minnesota told me that if the cap didn't hold, a crown was next up. The dentist at Marion Dental Group (Dr. Ha, at the time) said "no, I can fill that". And she did. Two years now and still holding.

Another vote for Marion Dental. Good folks there, and you are right, they don't try to upsell like so many others.

Thank you for the leads. Needed to find a dentist as I'm due for my 6 month checkup. My dentist and his staff in Vegas where I used to live were awesome, so I'm looking for a good one here. Will try one of these.

We're very happy with Palm Ridge Dental. The only downside is they don't accept insurance but they will file the claim to your insurance company for you. You just have to wait to get reimbursed. We're not on Medicare yet so can't speak to that.

We’ve been using Dr. Kim, (Bright Smile) for 11 Years. Very happy with him and his staff. His wife does the scheduling and books, not a rip off. Excellent Dentist. 734 South US Hwy 451, Lady Lakes. 352-728-1100.

Recommendations on this site lead me to Marion Dental 13700 N US Hwy 441
Lady Lake FL 32159 (352) 259-0822. Dr. Edwards was able to get me in same day for a cracked tooth and sent me to an Endodontist. Dr. Edwards did a great job on the crown prep and crown too. Other dentists at Marion Dental were recommended too.

I finally settled on Heritage Dental and I am very pleased with them. Go to their website and check out their reviews

My advice: Get a second opinion. I had this recommended to me on one of those "new patient" specials. My long-term dentist up north said "no way!". Not the first time something like this has happened here in our search for a good local dentist. I've had 40+ years in the dental industry and can see through all this stuff. You should have better luck searching for a dentist outside The Villages. And beware of dentists who do a lot of advertising and promote specials.
