Default Uncle Bob's Rock Shop - Changes?

Went to see UBRS tonight at Spanish Springs and it was not the UBRS I'm used to seeing. Dave, the long haired usual lead singer guitarist was playing drums. The usual drummer...I believe he's usually thought of as "Uncle Bob"...was not playing at all. So it was just four of them instead of the usual five.

Still sounded pretty good, but not really the same. Anybody know anything about this? Why the change? Is it permanent? Just very curious. I like UBRS so much!

I'm guessing that the usual drummer either got sick or couldn't make it or quit the band at the last minute and they're doing their best to fulfill their commitments.

Dave, by the way, did an excellent job on drums. I'm guessing that he was a drummer before he moved out front to play guitar and sing.

There seemed to be a bit of confusion between songs a few times. It seemed as if they were adjusting the set list as they went along according to what they thought they could pull off with the new lineup. But, yes, they were great. They are truly four outstanding, extremely talented musicians.

Do you, or someone (?) know where the band is located, in other words, are they from Orlando ? Ocala ? I am guessing they are all "retired" or semi retired professional musicians who were with various rock groups at one time and came together, or have they always been a more local/regional group ? Excellent !

I had heard that they were sound men who formed the band.
