No sound at all. It's been said the sound is always off due to copyright issues.

that is the website to go to in order to see each of the town squares.......I keep it in my "favorites" list.

Or another reason could be:
If the sound came from the camera they use to look at the squares it would barely be audible and would sound like crap as they are so far away from the source.

The webcams have been there for a while. The "new" ones weren't previously shown on thevillages.com, but they've been there on The Villages app.

Just wait a few years to zoom, then smells next, then the taste of beer. Wait a decade or 2 and you can send your own hologram there right from your couch. Then in about 50 years, humans will start to be born without legs because your couch has wheels (or jets).

didn’t have sound, now I’m sure I would not go to independent living if I found myself enjoying myself watching I would go str8 to assisted living because I’m sure I would need help
