He doesn't do anything with antennas!
I know it's weird that a TV guy doesn't do that. |

Before I get a quote from Tom, can anyone PM me as to how much the cost of buying and installing an antenna on the roof might cost? Thanks.

Tom at Villages AV no longer installs TV antennas.
Tom recommended I call Les Allier at Custom Antenna and Satellite; 407-913-9947. Les recently quoted me $325-375 for a Leva HD-8008 antenna mounted on the roof and connected to 1 TV. I've also seen prior recommendations for International Satellite & Antenna Service in Ocala, 352-237-3811 I have no experience with either of these. Also, NBC can be difficult to receive. Don’t know how much it cost now but I paid $60. for antenna & booster. Booster had to be plugged into a 110v outlet. I did mine myself. I just pointed mine toward Orlando & I got 46 channels. I’m sure the biggest expense would be installing the antenna. It might be a little expensive to get it initially installed but in the long run you’ll save a lot money.

Antenna reception even amplified is possible only in parts of The Villages, from the terrain and distance to cities with broadcasting. They do not work in Belvedere behind the high school for example. Cable, dish or internet needed.
When they do work they need to be elevated, off the roof, on a pole or in the attic. Check if any neighbors get reception. |

You can buy the antenna on Amazon (150 mile range) ($50.00) and poles at Lowes (2 for about $25.00) and install it yourself. I would stay away from roof mount unless you are replacing a dish already mounted on the roof.
