Very Good. A bit pricey but worth to avoid issues with TV.
Kanani Morris - owner About Palm Trees - get rid of them, you will be amazed.... NO MORE BUGS. Also Palms are considered grasses so you can chop them down, no permit required. |

I used Tree Frog a few months ago to cut down three palms, two grind below ground and one stump. Owner was on site. Workers used safety equipment and highly professional. I had five estimates. They are not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. He also donates a portion to the Navy seals. Owner was a seal and also is a certified arborist. They did things other company estimates did not do. Like boarded my lanai glass windows, tarped the yard and nearby bushes to catch the shavings and contacted all the utilities before you dig. Their clean up was so good would not even know any work was ever done. My palms were also surrounded by a circle of bricks and rocks. He removed all of that and laid new sod. Did an excellent job of leveling out the yard and the new sod has grown beautifully. You can’t even tell I used to have trees there. I highly recommend them but you will have to probably wait as they’re in high demand.

It has been a few years since we used Tree Frog to take down two big queen palms with fronds that were touching our roof. We were happy with his work.
Those trees had required too much maintenance to trim and to get rid of seed pods that seemed to sometimes grow huge overnight. When we bought the house, we knew nothing about palm trees. In the beginning we were hiring a trimmer that our neighbors used. But when I saw him shinny up the tree with a battery operated chainsaw RUNNING! I knew those trees needed to be out of our lives before somebody got hurt. By that time I had also learned that palm rats live in queen palms. I had not seen any so far but I did not want to. When taking down big trees, I think it is important to have someone who knows what they are doing, takes safety precautions, and is properly insured. I was surprised at how much shade those big, tall palms had been providing, but I am still glad they are gone. Boomer |

As everyone else has said - you get what you pay for with Tree Frog. Tree Frog is probably the most expensive but also the most professional tree service we've encountered in The Villages. If you want the job done "right" then Tree Frog may be the one for you. If you want the cheapest price then look at one of the myriad other tree services in The Villages.
Airborne is another tree service that has top notch equipment/cranes for large tree removal. I've not used them but I have seen their work in our neighborhood and I've been impressed. |

We have one of those "cone"-shaped trees. They're all over TV, put in by the developer in people's yards. Most are kept trimmed in a cone shape, as is/was ours, but it has gotten a bit tall--about 20 feet. We called Tree Frog. He doesn't know what a cone tree is, and we don't know the real name of the tree. Anyway, he wants $500 to trim it (it needs about six inches cut off of it top to bottom), even though he doesn't know what kind of tree it is. Does anyone know what kind of tree a cone tree is? I think if Tree Frog knew what tree it is, his price might come down. Last month we spent $600 to have a 30-foot palm cut down and the stump ground (not by TF). I'd rather have the tree taken out than spend $500 for a trim.
TF's time frame was September 29.

Yes, we have used Tree Frog on two occasions in the past. I had two palm trees which appeared to have a disease/insects of some sort and we were looking for the best way to treat them. Kalani (so-called arborist) could not give us a definitive answer either time! Pricing for his services is, in a word, outrageous! I'd consider others before you proceed with Tree Frog.
