Default Tierra Del Sol moving?

Have read that the black box theatre at Tierra del Sol could be moving to the old Brownwood theater. Any official input?

Haven’t heard that, but if true that would totally suck. We can see a play at the TDS theater, and during intermission we have time to jump in the golf cart and go home and use our own bathroom and return with a fresh bottle of wine for the rest of the show.

Rumors have been mentioned about Barnstormer, converting to live theater, but no official mention as of yet.
Not sure about the move, but all venues are north, except for the Tracy. With the influx of homes south of 44, maybe the entertainment staff thought a larger venue is warranted. Possibly leaving Tierra in tack, but expanding another larger venue.

Since we're south of 44 we'd appreciate more nearby options

I don't know if they're moving or not. However if they move to the Broundwood location I will not attend that venue. Too far from my home.

For some driving late at night could cause problems coming from SS area down to Brownwood. South of 44 in the cart to SS areas it’s about 45 minutes, depending on weather and time of year. Then again there are other venues in the north to attend.

Funny thing you would post that reason. One golf group of 44 routinely gets courses surrounding SS, mostly above LSL, 85% live north of LSL.
We live south of 44, yet drive up to play with the group, for 10 plus years. Due to time restraints or weather cancel, occasionally.
The group backlash begins “it’s Not That Far”.

Last 2 weeks tee time south of 44. All but 13 people cancelled. Just had to send “It’s not that Far” text

A shame there aren't two intermissions :-)

Why is it always "I read somewhere" but never says where they read it????

We have enjoyed shows at the Savannah Center, the Sharon, and the Tracy which are all about 45 mins from Brownwood. If the box office shows enough demand, it would be nice have a closer option.

45 mins (about 12 miles) really is not that far but 5 mins is a lot more convenient.

Haven't heard anything about moving the TDS theater to Brownwood (and why do that if it's still drawing an audience) but with three so close, a large gap between north and south, and Brownwood theater sitting empty it makes some sense.

You can take your own alcohol to TDS? Can you bring food?

I occasionally would play golf down south of 44 on my own. If you drive it often enough you don't notice the duration of the ride especially early morning with my music and coffee. I got to meet new people.
