Default Table lamp repair

Does anyone know where to get a table lamp repaired? The problem is in the switch or electrical cord but we do not have the tools to access it.

If it is like a regular table lamp, it is a very easy repair. I watched a YouTube video. My mom used to do it years ago, so I figured I could do it, too. And if I can do it, anybody can. All I needed was a screwdriver and the replacement parts from the store.

The most important thing in any lamp repair is the polarity-make the lamp cord, the side with the ridges, goes on the white screw of the bulb sock and the same side of the cord goes to the white screw of the plug--if you don't do this the outer shell of the bulb holder could be hot with the lamp off.

Default Lowes or home depot

They both have a parts section for lamps. Just look for what you need.

Thanks all. We were able to get what we needed at Home Depot and hubby rewired it.

Default Try Ace Hardware on Bichara

We brought a lamp with us that had a loose switch. My hubby does all that type of repair work on things around the house, but needed parts.

We took it in to the "Ace Hardware" on Bichara to purchase the parts. The salesman went and found the parts and proceeded to repair the lamp on the spot! Only charged us for the parts. Now that is customer service!!

Since then we will go out of our way to try them first for our hardware needs.
Good guys there!!
