Default T.E. Vallabhan m.d.

Wondering: Has anyone on TOTV had experience with Dr. T.E. Vallabhan, whose a heart specialist-cardiologist??
Was recently in T.V. hospital and this guy came in as part of the "team" so to speak (I wasn't there for heart related issues NOR did any show up) and it puzzled me on why he'd have come in at all to see me. Speculation was, that perhaps he's new in the area and needed to find some new patients.

He told me he'd like me to come in for a stress test after I was released. My surgeon, upon questioning, told me he didn't see any indications for that nor did he order it. I just thought it was weird!! Having never been in the hospital since we've retired (it's even been a number of years that I've needed to be) I didn't know if this is standard protocol for "persons of a certain age" to have this type of contact.
Any thoughts people???

Maybe he walked in the wrong room. I hope he found the correct patient.

He was with Citrus Cardiology and was my husbands cardiologist . I think he was a very good doctor. We are still with Citrus but would consider moving over to Vallabhans new office.

He did NOT walk into the wrong room! I was there for surgery (unrelated to anything with the heart). What was really weird is that I had made the appointment with his office but after speaking with my surgeon decided to cancel it. The office called me back not once but THREE times to try to get me to re-schedule! Have never had that experience before....so made me think they need the business OR he runs his office alot differently than most physicians. Must say though, his bedside manner was delightful so "IF" I'd ever need a cardiologist---might consider him. Thanks for the responses!!!

Default Information about doctors

In considering a prospective doctor, the first thing that I check is the doctor's malpractice-claims history. Florida is one of the few states where that information is publicly available.

There is a link here to the state malpractice-claims site, as well links to other background information on Florida doctors: http://www.floridamalpractice.com
