For general info. Have just spoken with Spectrum (recommended by people in Pinellas who have it and are very happy). Charge for tel. (Unlimited ), internet and TV: $110/mo plus tax. No contract. One time install. Fee of $45.00. Thereafter any service calls are Free!!!!! Sounds like a good deal but unfortunately is not available on the historical side of TV.

Nor is it available just north of 466a because we checked into them. Wonder how long it will be (if ever) they'll spread out?

The sooner the better - Comcast and Century Link need some competition but for now I guess for me it has to be CenLink.

There is also a monthly charge of I believe $6.00 for each cable box you use. If you choose the Gold Package for TV it comes to about $150.00/month plus the box charges. We have had Spectrum in Fenney since July and have had no problems. Their customer service is great if you have questions as I had many in the beginning trying to figure out how everything works.

You may just want to get a good internet service and stream your TV through a Roku box. Check out YouTube Tv or HULU. You get all the local network channels plus plenty of cable channels for $35. No junk stations that you will never watch. Great unlimited cloud-based recording DVR with YouTube TV. No setup charge, and you can cancel at anytime. Watch on your phone, tablet or laptop as well. If you really need a phone other than your cell, you can put a Ooma box on the internet line and only pay the tax per month (less than $5).

ROKU etc really isn't that "easy" for the average person. There is a learning curve and it's not the same as the "old fashioned" way.

If you can use your current remote, you can use a ROKU remote. It's even simpler. Wait till your grandkids come over and have them set it up on your TV. You can keep your current cable service and try streaming with the ROKU. Pretty soon, you will be returning your cable boxes and saving a pile of money.

I've had them since January and my bill has not been correct yet.... They advertise 29.99 but it's never even close. I've threatened to take this to the Federal Trade Commission. Bunch of crooks....
Waiting to see what my next bill says. I'd just turn them off, but what a PITA getting other services after reading ALL the complaints here...

What areas of the Villages does Spectrum cover? What about between Sumter Landing and Brownwood? We are planning to move to the Villages and would like to have Spectrum as we do now here in Tampa
