It was announced quite some time ago that a Skechers Store would be opening in The Villages area. But have not heard anything since. Is it going to happen or not?

Supposedly by the end of March but so far I haven't seen even so much as a contractor's dust-print on the floor of the place. It was the Pier 1 store next to PetSmart on 441, that's the supposed location of the new Skechers store.

Sketches was mentioned today, in The Daily Sun, on Page A19. They are going through the permitting process now.

Would be nice. I like their shoes. strong, wear well AND reasonably priced.

Bealls on 441 next to Lowes has a good selection of Sketchers and they are usually on sale.

They are great "shoes".
I have been wearing many of their products for years,

The only negative to date is Snoop Dog being in their ads this past weekend.
