Went to Sam's today-their revised meat dept is the best place for QUALITY meat in the area
veal scaloppine, veal Osso Bucco, frenched veal chops, Kobe steak, and tomahawk steaks for a person who likes to cook @ home this is a find I'm willing to bet there is not a restaurant in TV that will offer the above cuts on their menus |

They have a lot of prime meat--their Kobe meat is $35 lb--there are only 2 restaurants in TV that claim to serve prime meat--Arnold Palmer & Nancy Lopez

Most likely not Kobi buy Wagyu beef. Only a handful of places in the US have Kobi beef.

Thanks for the heads up. Our beef and pork is grass raised, for us. I have found it hard to find quality meat in TV. You just made my day

Sam's is trying hard (and succeeding imho) to emulate Costco. CS still has a way to go but is getting better. Food quality (and meat) has come a long way recently. The absolute best thing that Sam's has done is their use of technology. I downloaded their "scan and go" app and have bypassed the checkout lines the last few times I have visited the store. It is fantastic...scan the item, stick it in your basket, hit the pay button, and walk out of the store. Only restriction is on wine and beer. I expect that is for state restrictions.

I'm going to be O.K. I finally got back up on the chair. I did hit my head when I passed out from an almost rave review from #1. It really is true the meat at Sam's is phenomenal. Our company from N.J. both said that The Villages must have gotten its own Butcher Store like at home. I just evaded and said something to the effect of they did. We just came back from another round. We are all set. The freezer is stocked. I gave up on eating Lobster.

Overall I like Sam’s meat selection. With that said, I think the NY strips are too thick. We will generally fillet them when we get home. The top round steaks use to thick, but now they seem to be cut thin. More like “sizzle” steaks. The center cut pork chops were so thick we passed on buying them. Maybe it was just the day we were there... I agree on the scan and go app. We Have been using it for a while. It really speeds up the process! I see where regular WalMart stores are beginning to use this app as well.
