Default Returning Your Shopping Cart

When you go shopping, shopping carts are there for your convenience, do you return
your cart to the cart bin or return it to the store, or leave it in the parking lot??

I have already taken a cart from a parking space in the store with me.

This question was discussed in the Daily Sun on Tuesday, and just some food for thought.

Cheers!

I have difficulty walking. I park in the handicap space, and I am always happy when there is a cart left there for me to use. It helps support me as I walk to the store and while shopping. Thanks to anyone who leaves a cart near the handicap spots.

I usually take our own plus any that is dumped and blocking a parking bay to the collection point.
Bit like repairing pitch marks, your own and any other you see.
I also take old people across the road, whether the want to go, or not!

Who knew you are supposed to return them thought they were freebee.

Now that we have 27 sitting in our garage how do we bring them back.

Did get some odd looks when I have put one in our trunk though, now I know why.

Mine are virtual, they disappear after the transaction.

We always return the real carts to the cart corral.

One of my wife's pet peeves. As in "why do they leave carts in the parking stalls when the cart corral is only 30 feet away"?

It is not anything that I lose any sleep over.

I'm 50/50 on returning to the store or putting in the collection area. If there is a cart close to where I parked I may bring that with me to the store.

Leaving in the parking space? Not a chance! Not going to be one of those people!

When I use a cart, it is always returned to the closest location, either the store front or a designated area in the parking lot. I appreciate the store providing these for my use and would be very disappointed if these were removed due to abuse.

The only time I've left it near my parking space is at the 441 Lowes near the golf cart parking spots. I don't know if I was blind that day but couldn't see a cart holding area.

Maybe someday they will ask for a fee to use their carts like Aldi's.

In UK no food supermarket gives 'free' shopping carts.
You get your £1 coin back when you return your trolley.

I leave the cart behind the car that took up two parking spaces.
