I know some other people who got that deal. When I made the switch from CenturyLink fiber service to the rebranded QuantumFiber for $30 per month, they had morphed the plan to charge an additional $15 for the mesh router lease. It was of no consequence to me as I already had a contemporary router. New subscribers are now paying $50 per month. You should keep your plan ;-)

They seem to frequently change their pricing and speed offered. Some plans have included all equipment, other plans have charged. This is a good deal, take it.

Also, when we had Comcast, it was a nightmare every year after returning from our 3 month vacation hold. We had to negotiate a new plan every year. With Quantum, we were able to turn our service off and back on without any issues.

I pay $30/m. No hidden fees... just $30/m. Speed is fantastic. When I joined they had free install. Their wi-fi modem and 3 nodes on a nested wireless. Great coverage throughout the house. I've had 1 outage in the 2 years since I joined.

I just ran a speed test ... (search speed test on google) and this was response over my wi-fi network:

"Your Internet connection is very fast.

Your Internet connection should be able to handle multiple devices streaming HD videos, video conferencing, and gaming at the same time."

We are happy with our plan. They seem to change their plans frequently and the OP’s offer of $35 including equipment is also a great offer.

I was wondering if the OP might have made a typo and meant $75 per month as that is the price for the 1 gigabit per second service on their website.

I wish we could get this south of 44 because Spectrum speeds suck, but alas it’s not available yet. Will jump on it as soon as it’s offered. We had fiber at our previous home out of state and really miss it. Night and day difference from cable.

I have xfinity and have had nothing but problems for the last 6 months. A lot of buffering and disconnects. I unplug and plug in, they check from their end but with no resolution. I will be looking around for someone else. I am in the village of Hillsborough.

Whether it's built into the cost or not, you are correct, there is no additional cost. Either way their price is relatively cheep for what they are giving you and thier mesh WiFi works great for the average person who doesn't want to "roll their own".

Not a typo. In the last month I switched to Quantum Fiber as Xfinity double my bill after my two year contract and wanted to start charging rental for their modem/router. Quantum offered their 1 Gbps service for $35/month for life* with free install and no-cost* wifi 360 pods. Within a week of requesting the service on the Quantum website it was installed. Been great so far.

*the "for life" guarantee is only as long as they offer that tier of service and the "no cost" wifi pods are excluded from the "for life" guarantee. So they obviously have built in a out for their monthly cost, but I can always switch service again if it approaches anything Xfinity offers.

I have Quantum Fiber. I pay $30 a month for life and I get 200Mbps consistently, but most of the time over that. We run two computers and multiple TVs and that seems to be plenty of speed. We had Centurylink before that, but found out that Quantum bought Century's fiber business. When we had them, we were told we would get 900+Mbps and never achieved that speed. Before that, we had Xfinity and they kept raising their monthly charge until we were paying over $240 a month for Internet and TV. Now we stream via Roku sticks and get reliable streaming with great quality. Since we have Quantum at $30 a month, they have asked us several times if we would like to upgrade to 500?Mbps for $50. Don't need it. 200Mbps seems to be more than enough. We have had company and had three TV's streaming, two computers and the kid's tablets with no buffering.
Today, Quantum does not offer $30 a month. But we are locked in and have been for a couple years. Can't beat it.

With Fiber you get those same great download speeds for uploads as well. With cable (coax) you will get maybe 20-30 Mbps on uploads.

My deal is $50/month for life for 500 MBS with three Wi/FI 6 mesh router ports which includes the router. Great coverage.

The hook is that if one changes any component of the system, for example upgrading to 1 Gig, you loose the "for life" guarantee.

They used the original Century Link optical cable that came with the house, removed the C/Link ONT in my garage and installed their own ONT. He had to fiddle with the in-house (4 wire) telephone cable to activate a second pair of wires to carry the faster speed signal from the ONT.

I am located South of 466 and north of 44. If you have, or had, Century Link, Quantum will eventually contact you to upgrade you to their equipment and charges.
