Here I sit at Colony rec center so that I will have an internet connection. I am supposed to have my internet service thru Quantum Fiber but the service has been down since January 4, that is 15 days and counting....and I will bet money that it will not be restored yet this week. How is that possible?
I contacted Quantum Fiber Customer Support on January 4 and advised that my internet was down. They said they were very sorry but the soonest they could get out to my house to would be on January 12 (eight days later), between the hours of 8-10 AM. You guessed it, they didn't show. I immediately contacted Customer Support and was told that, "Oh we had to reschedule the appointment to January 18". I said that was unacceptable and they finally agreed to send a tech later that afternoon. The tech showed up and was stumped by the situation and had two other persons on a conference call trying to figure it out. A bit later I looked out and noticed the tech's van was gone. Absolutely did not even bother to advise me what was going on before he left. Next day I called Customer Support and was told that there is a bigger problem that had to be "elevated" to a different dept. Then I was told after this different dept. did their thing, likely in 3 to 5 more days, then they would reschedule a service call to get it up and running. They promised to keep me advised via email of the status. That has been 6 days ago now with not a single communication from Customer Support. A couple of days ago some friends of ours in our neighborhood also lost their Quantum Fiber service. For some strange reason they were able to get a tech out the same day even though I had to wait 8 days for the first visit. It turns out our friends were told the problem was the same as ours. Of course they are unhappy as we are. I had been happy with Quantum Fiber up until I needed their support. It is nearly non existent and all you get is excuses and "how sorry they are". Telling me how sorry they are just doesn't do anything except upset me further. They keep telling me that I should be happy to know that they will credit me for each day without service. They don't seem to understand/don't care that I am also paying for steaming service that won't be reimbursed. I caution you to think long and hard before you decide to sign up with Quantum Fiber. |

Centurylink/Quantum fiber customer 12 years only 2 issues in that time fixed within hours
