Default Quantum Fiber

Has anyone switched to Quantum Fiber for their internet service? Thoughts?

I have had them for several years now, first as Centurylink and then they rebranded to Quantum. Service is good and consistant but when they run the fiber optic cable to your house they only bury it 4 inches or so and that makes it vulnerable to aggressive landscapers who don't bother with "diggers hotline". They are responsive to repair requests. The 200 mbs down speed @ $30 is a bargain. Customer service for billing issues is very spotty with english as a second language issues and sometimes needing multiple calls to get satisfaction. On balance a good deal.

ditto. have had them for a few years now and zero problems, haven't had to call customer service.

Good internet service and price but customer service needs better training.

Careful, they say yes on the location. Then once time to install, oh we need to run a line. Digging up the neighbors yards is always fun. I decided not to be that guy.

It's not like they're laying a new sewer line, you can't see where they buried the line when they finish.

OP: have had them for a couple of years, zero complaints.

I don't know where you live but in my Village, and many others, the fiber optic cable was installed when the other utilities were put in, before any of the homes were sold. You can often see a loop of fiber optic cable on the side of the houses that did not select CenturyLink/Quantum Fiber service.

The only Century Link we get here in Amelia (just north of 466A) is circa 1990 DSL 10-20Mbps if you're lucky. Only option for fast internet here is Xfinity. Even T-Mo and Verizon "cellular internet" is poor at my location unless I put their device outside on my patio on top of my BBQ grill. . Tried them both. YMMV.

I have it and love it. Best deal I ever had with Internet. They will charge you an extra $15.00 per month if you use their router mesh system so I bought my own. With YouTube TV I pay $110.00 per month for Internet and TV. If it's available in your area I would definitely make the switch. With Fiber Optic the download and upload speed is about the same.

They charged me $45 dollars and I patiently waited a month to give them some time to get their act together.
I called after an entire month and they told me that they couldn’t find my address and therefore weren’t sure that service will ever be available. Got my money back and am sticking with XFINITY. Can’t win them all.

Had the Quantum mesh system installed. The BEST I've every had. 938 Mbps download and 936 Mbps upload. I have 4 pods with one on Lanai. Can use multiple devices with no degradation and use wifi outside on pool area. I have wifi smart house with auto shades, security, Omnilogic, auto lights, etc. Would highly recommend it. However you need an optical cable coming into your house.

I've had them for just about 2 years, I have 1GB fiber and it rocks. I did change to my own wifi routers since all these companies don't give full bandwidth ability so i'm contantly running at 997Mbps
