Default Price to join MVP Sports Club

I was out last night and overheard some folks talking about going to MVP Sports and how wonderful it was. I went to their web page for a price but you have to enter way too much information to get a price quote. I was wondering if someone could give me a ballpark figure of what it cost to join and the monthly fee and what you get...thanks in advance !!!

Actually pricing changes because they always run specials. Your best bet to get a correct quote is to stop by the gym or call them directly. They offer lots if group classes and the floor equipment all included in your monthly dues. It is a lot of fun, and you can use both Spanish Springs and Brownwood locations.

We know a couple that were in the area for 3 weeks at the end of June. They paid $80.00 for both, for the 3 weeks. It sounded like the fee covered unlimited use.

I don't know if this is the going rate, a special, or typical fee, but was the cost for the last 3 weeks in June at the location at the new square.

They loved it. The wife did 2 spinning classes every day. Not my cup of tea, but they felt they got their money's worth, plus.

Red tail, I did better than you!
I joined long time ago and I am a Charter member so I pay a different rate. It would no do you any good if I tell you that. As I stated before best way is to call them or stop by, there is no pressure at all.

We joined as a couple in January. There was no upfront cost and we pay about $50 per each month for each of us. Our plan allows us to put the membership on hold once per year and also if there is a health reason.

The cost for a single member last winter was $63 ($59 plus tax)/ month, and there was a special that either gave you a month free or waived the initiation fee. It's a great place, at least the one in Brownwood. Cost for a corporate membership is $43 and no initiation fee. I can only give quotes for a single member, as my husband did not join.

I just got home from Brownwood MVP, I go about 4 or 5 days a week. We do the monthly membership rate which is locked in for life. For a couple the main member is $59 per month and $43 for the associate member. That's $102 per month plus $7 tax, so every month my credit card is charged $109 on the first of the month, I never see a bill. There is a small one time membership fee for paying monthly, it's discounted now to about $75 for two. You can also put your membership on hold once per year.

If you want to pay just once a year, it's $1059 plus tax for two members but the rate is not locked in for life, but there is no membership fee.

The summer special right now is $159 for three months, which otherwise it would be 3 x $59 = $177, so you save a little, I'm not sure if the initiation fee is waived. Stop in at the desk and they can let you know.

If you walk in off the street and ask to try out the place, they'll give you a 3 days pass. If a member (such as myself) were to give your a referral card, then you get a 7 day pass and I get a $5 month credit for as long as your a member. Yesterday was customer appreciation day, I could bring any friend to any of my classes. That might still be going on this week, I'm not sure.

Here's the Brownwood location.

I think the MVP monthly price of $109 for a couple is high for a retirement community ... despite having good equipment.

Planet Fitness charges $10 per month per person. However, the closest Planet Fitness is 20 miles away in Ocala.

I had a Planet Fitness 150 yards from my home in Baltimore, that's one reason why it took me so long before I joined MVP. What sold me on MVP are the classes. I can go a couple of blocks to Seabreeze Rec Center and use their exercise room for $365 a year, but it's nothing more than a small scale Planet Fitness. At MVP there are organized classes going on all day that are given my college educated trainers. One class I take is Group Power on M-W-F at 10am. It's 55 minutes of using weights and moving briskly with very little rest. I hate it when I'm in the class but so happy when it's over. My wife use to go to Zumba class one day a week at Sterling Hgts Rec Center. Now she goes to Zumba 5 days a week and the class is twice as hard.

Anybody that is a member, are evening classes crowded(5-8 pm)? Can you get shut out of classes because they are too full? I'm asking regarding Spanish Springs location.

Default One of our friends questioned:

Why do you keep credit card on file forever? They were concerned with security of their credit card.

I frequent the Spanish Springs location and haven't yet been to Brownwood.
MVP was a blessing to TV in comparison to the Developer's Wellness Center.
for a set monthly fee all MVP offers is available to you.

In contrast the Wellness Center charged separately for the gym and separately for group classes . I paid $110 per monthly for two group classes and this did not give me access to the gym that was either a semi-annual or annual amount

I joined anytime fitness on 466 and it doesn't cost me anything. I have AARP united health care plan N and they pay for my membership. They have no classes though. They have a trainer on site on weekdays during the day.

We just joined Anytime Fitness in Summerfield and so far really like it. Never crowded and oepne 24/7 which we like that flexibility. Unfortunately our Ins. does to cover it but depending on what you sign up for the rates change we're trying it for 3 months there's a one time $25 fee for an access tag so you can use it when it is unattended but they have plenty of security. No classes but for me that's fine as I am no where near able to do classes yet, so the machines are perfect for me till I get more limber and can move better. We may look into MVP later as my husband gets a discount there. Oh and right now they are waiving the initiation fee per and email I sent in requesting pricing.

Can not see it as cost effective. Will go with a less costly alternative.
