Question Personalized hanging address plaques for lamp post

Where is a good place to get a personalized hanging address plaque for our front lamp post?

At the squares during vendor nights. I believe the sellers name is Jackie.

We just changed ours to a stone, custom designed named plate. There are several vendors for nameplates depending on what you want and your budget, at the squares or independents. Shop around.

Do some people have a security concern because they only post their first names on the sign? Or is it that the last the name is so long and the entire name would appear like Vito & Annette Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious?? Won't fit on the sign or costs to much? I would hope that the number would be the most important to everyone for time that emergency services are required at your home.

Why do people in The Villages put their name on a lamp post? I have never seen this done anywhere I have lived, and I don't plan to do it. Does anybody other than me consider this a security issue?

We plan on doing our first names and street number. I like the idea of having names on the house post sign and golf carts, as it makes it easy to remember who is who. I have terrible name/face memory.

I would guess 60 to 70% of houses here not only have their names one the post, but also any fur babies in their home. If you are in the phone book your hometown is also listed. Or you can look up anyone on the county tax website and get any info you need. So no most don't fine it a security issue.

I have my full name on my nameplate. I want folks to find me if they are looking for me. I'm not in the Mafia or have warrants out on me, so I doubt that anyone is looking for me to do me harm.
