Talking Indoor furniture

How about good indoor furniture. We will have to furnish our entire home when we move and we aren't familiar with the area. Please be specific to location when you mention places to shop. Our Garmin will come in handy!!

Default Patio furniture

I actually ordered my lanai furniture from afar....without seeing it......at Target.com. I was pleasantly surprised to see the end result. It was much nicer than pictured online.....and good quality as well. I would recommend trying Target.com. I ordered my sunroom furniture in my "up north" home from Home Depot......and I'm happy with that furniture. Both Target.com and Home Depot were not over-priced...........but both had to be assembled. Do I hear SOMEONE swearing??????

Default That Indoor stuff!

We purchased our indoor furniture from Showcase Furniture or was it the other one??? It was one of the two in The Villages. They had great furniture at good prices!

From what I can tell, I wouldn't get in any big hurry to buy EVERYTHING at once. There seems to be a lot of places to buy furniture and accessories in the area!

We purchased all our furniture from either Southern Lifestyles or its 'sister' store Showcase Direct. After shopping around they seem to have the best prices. Quality too. They deliver in two days and the staff is very professional, put the furniture together, wipe everything down, and give care instructions. Villagers get a 5% discount and after the furniture is delivered they give you a $25.00 coupon (must spend $150.00) for a future purchase.
Very happy with purchases!

Ahhhh good point...

I also forgot to mention..... They have floor plans of the homes in TV and will place the furniture on the floorplan so you can see how it fits in your home. (I made a change when I felt something was going to overwhelm the room.)

On the day before we close, they will bring the furniture in and set it up according to my instructions, so that the day we close, all we have to do is make the bed and we are good to go!

We are hoping to get two chairs and two ottomans, a love seat and coffee table for about $1500, a little more, a little less. This year the ones we are sitting on in that range don't have comfortable cushions. They are either too hard or too squishy and you feel like there isn't much you are sitting on. I would like the cushions to shed rain too.

In the Daily Sun there is a place in Orlando advertised that is supposed to manufacture it called Palm Casual.

I really don't want to go all the way down there and be disappointed. Has anyone been there...and did they think it was a good place to find a nice patio set for an affordable price??

Any input would be appreciated.
palm casual has been in business for many years. i havnt been in years but the products used to be made out of pvc, both the frame and cushions. so they are good for sunny locations.

We followed the recommendations of several of you and ordered Lily Bay from Home Depot online. Apparently Home Depot has the manufacturer drop ship this and it was a little rocky. We ordered it the end of September and finally got the last piece about ten days ago. BUT I think it is just lovely and just fits our homes style perfectly. I will try to post a picture of it.

Sounds like the Martha set I bought at KMart a few years ago. Really comfy. Still looks great!

You know I heard it's good to have different people sit on the furniture to break it in properly. I'll volunteer to help!
Congrats on finding and creating a space.

Default Outdoor furniture durability?

I was just thinking about where to purchase outdoor furniture and was reading all of your suggestions. I was blown away by the price of outdoor furniture! When we were in TV last, we went to a place down by Bed, Bath and Beyond in some plaza near SS. I think it was patio and fireplace or something like that. We found a set we loved with the dining set and conversation set all matching but the price was astronomical! My husband says we are only buying these sets once so we'll pay the price but I'm in the mind set that this may be too much to spend. In your opinion, is the furniture at Home Depot, Lowes and other chain places as durable as that of a specialty store? I could furnish 2-3 rooms of my house for the price of this outdoor furniture. Seems to be too much. Durability and comfort are important.

i can tell you from expierience it doesnt get any better than palm casual...their product is quality so you may find it a bit pricey. they deliver free twice a week to the villages. its family owned and operated and they are delightful people. i just replaced all my patio stuff with them last weekend. well worth the drive,
