It is my belief that anyone can buy in Oxford Oaks. However, while built by the villages development, Oxford Oaks is not in the Villages & has no access to Villages amenities. Except those open to the public, like squares & shops. Oxford Oaks does have its own pool. It also looks to me like it is not a golf cart community. Not saying you couldn't own a cart & drive it to the pool, mailbox, & neighbors but no MMPs & no access to anywhere outside of the development.

So, yeah, many places not the Villages have lower prices.

While Oxford Oaks was a planned neighborhood for families, anyone can live there. Yes there are a few who live there that don’t have children. So if you work for TV and kids went to original HS horrid traffic for pick up and drop off is was very convenient. Now they travel down 301 and beyond for HS. It has its own amenities, pool, playground, and such. But no TV amenities are included or can be bought, even if you work for developer.

Not a fan of 301 so even if we choose to live elsewhere I hate driving that road.

If you are someone who does not golf and are not interested in clubs, Oxford Oaks may be a great choice. Why pay for something you do not use?

The community has its own pool, pickle ball, etc. There is no bond and the amenity fee is much smaller. You can visit the Villages town squares as often as you like. There are quite a bit of seniors who live there. As you noticed, the price of homes are cheaper. Beware: there is no golf cart access to the Villages.

Look at Middleton, as well. Lakeside Landings is a community EXTREMELY close to the Villages. It offers similar amenities and savings as Oxford Oaks.

Where? Certainly not Oxford Oaks, there appears to be a nice collection of styles in that development.
