To reach an adult pool from Linden, you have to drive to another village.

North of 44, I believe every village has their own adult pool.

Yeah, off-leash dogs are a good source of food for the alligators.

Others prefer the family pools over the adult pools with the cliquey "seasoned" old farts loudly talking politics ;-)

That is a VERY accurate description of an adult pool.

Edna's on the Green Truck stop and entertainment - so amazing. Country Club food??? Too bad you are so far from Coney Island, O'shucks, Cotillian, Oakwood BBQ, Willies, Reveille etc. The soon to be finished boardwalk and water activies that will be at Okahumpka. Yeah we may not have as many big box stores that are in Lady Lake but I am just fine with only having to travel there once in a while to do a big shop than have to deal with that regular traffic....or better yet hop on the turnpike and get the best stores like costco and ikea a short drive towards Orlando. Love having the ability to have all my gas appliances in our newer areas - they cook better and dry clothing better and way cheaper than electric. All areas have their + and - qualities but writing off an area that you really know nothing about is both inaccurate and unkind. Get your facts straight before you start bashing the newer areas.
Well said!

Missing pools, maybe not. Not much talk about missing Country Clubs, not a one South of 44. From what I can tell there are none planned either. What a shame.

I don't really get the appeal of the country club restaurants. We were told that the Lopez was the best I found it overpriced and very average. Bonifay, Evans prairie seem to have similar food Do they have like a MasterChef that just creates same food for all of the country clubs?? I hope the villages is moving away from country club dining and instead trying to create unique dining experiences in standalone restaurants.

Yes, they are planned. Personally I don't go to any of the golf course restaurants, the food tastes like it was frozen and nuked, menu's never seem to change much and the drinks are weak. I used to Like Cane Garden but it went downhill also.

Lopez, Palmer and Havana have excellent freshly prepared food and good cocktails. Sawgrass, Fenney and food trucks are not a good substitute.

I might have my wires crossed but looking at The Villages Community map, I see three pools in your area: Everglades (which I would guess is a family or sports pool), Water Lily which looks like a family pool and Cattail which looks like an Adult pool.

Cattail is a Family pool although I heard back in June they did try to have it changed to a Adult pool. sinc Water Lily is already a family resort pool. Deluna is the adult pool which opened recently.
