Default In Need of Reliable Transportation to Orlando International Airport

I have lived in TV for two years. I fly frequently out of Orlando. I prefer to hire a service for my travels to and from the airport but have been disappointed with the quality of service offered by companies, large and small. My most recent negative experience happened this past week when I attempted to hire the Lake Shuttle Service LLC for the first time. After providing numerous confirmations (none confirming my address), in the days leading up to my scheduled departure, I received a call from my driver 8 minutes before my scheduled pickup time. He said that he could not find my address. When I asked where he was, he responded with a location that was 30 minutes away and provided an address that had been improperly entered by the employee who took my reservation. I could not wait 30 minutes and drove myself to the airport. It will cost me $350 in remote parking fees. If anyone can recommend a reliable transportation service, I would greatly appreciate knowing about it.

I see Groome vans in the Villages all the time sometimes twice in one day. Having said that I am not sure why everyone turns away from Uber and Lyft because in some situations you would end up spending less but it’s all dependent on how long a car stays near the airport and what location you use to park (as farther away is cheaper). It’s basic math 101. I use the long term airport parking and it’s ~$100 for a week not including tolls to MCO. Sometimes saving $20 (for example) is not worth the hassle like yours so I drive and park.

I have used Groome for the past three years and they have performed well, until my last pickup. They recently acquired another service and increased their coverage area. This added an additional 30-45 minutes to the route. They are working on changing the routes so they don't lump in Leesburg pick up and drop offs but until that happens I'll be looking for another service.

Creative Concierge. Private. Only once did they need to have I person ride with us in a very large SUV. We have used them for years. Owned by Thomas Poole. We have chosen their VIP service.

Dave's Transportation is extremely reliable, but a bit pricy and very busy so book early. I also like that he almost exclusively hires veterans and retired LEOs to drive.

We have used Dave's Airport Transportation for nearly 7 years now. Communication is stellar! Their vehicles are required to arrive 10-15 min's before our scheduled p/u time when flying out, Dave says it's to give his clients peace of mind knowing their vehicles are there. We've had great experiences with their drivers, professional, courteous, safety is a must for them. We've had several different male/female drivers and they are required to re-sanitize the vehicles after every run. Try calling them, 352-223-4696. They are state licensed and commercially insured. I agree, they are always busy because of their reliability. Book early, but they do have 22 vehicles which makes it nice.

Joe Byer, Blue Line Services. Not the cheapest game in town by a long shot but super-reliable. Always on time (actually about 15 minutes early).

I'm back home after a lifestyle tour of The Villages. One evening we wanted to attend a concert at the Savannah Center, so we called Uber. The address was confirmed via text and email. The driver said he has been driving in TV for two years full-time, so we assumed he knew where the Savannah Center was. Turns out he dropped us off at the Lake Miona Recreation Center. By the time we realized the concert wasn't being held at Lake Miona, the driver had gone. Through sheer luck, someone at Lake Miona said she lived near the Savannah Center and offered to drive us. What a doll. When I reported the driver's error to Uber, they refused to give me a full refund. Can you imagine?! If something should go awry, just be aware of Uber's refund policy, which is to never give one. Confirmed by numerous posts at Reddit.

Very please with Groome door-to-door service. On time, courteous, and flexible in working around traffic tie-ups.
