Default Need name of insurance broker that you recommend

If you have an insurance broker that you trust and like, would you please give me their name? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Lori Welling at The Villages Insurance. Smart, knowledgeable, and listens.

When we moved here in 2016, we went to the State Farm office in Lady Lake to buy insurance for our new house.

When our roof was damaged a few months ago in a hurricane, Eustis Roofing said it would cost $27K to replace it. State Farm gave us a check for $17K and we paid the $10K deductible.

We just switched our homeowner's Insurance. We used:

Kasey Welch
3400 Southern Trace | The Villages, FL 32162
Office 352-751-6622 | Fax 352-753-3202
Kasey.Welch@TheVillagesInsurance.com | The Villages Insurance.com

We're very happy with her services, as she gave us several options of coverages/deductibles and helped us chose a plan that worked for us.

Ditto. I found her very helpful and professional. Great communications. We used Villages for homeowner's because (I found) other agents just were not familiar with the nuances of the Villages (bonds, etc.) and it was cumbersome dealing with them. Village prices were competitive (hopefully) will not have to worry about them dropping us in a few years.

I wouldn't expect the same by State Farm now, they are the worst in denying claims, i would find someone else!

Amusing but worked out well. We had PROGRESSIVE for over ten years. THROUGH VILLAGES INSURANCE. No claims so no payment review. If, I understand what I was told, Progressive decided they had too much exposure in Florida so they on a lottery basis refused to renew some policies. We lost the raffle and they refused to renew our policy. They suggested two companies I had heard of neither of them. Looked em up on better business etc and said TOO NEW TO RATE. The price and coverage was the same as we had with Progressive. We went with TOWER because old school perhaps I want to deal with a HUMAN-Villages Insurance. PROGRESSIVE WON THE LOTTERY. Our roof which by the way was inspected by Tower when we signed with them, was severely damaged. The punch line. We called Villages Insurance and got a recording closed due to the hurricane call insurance direct. Tower contacted the adjuster. I picked up roughly 100 lbs of shingles that blew off my roof Tower sent a crew behind the adjuster and they put up tarps. We now have a new roof.
I understand Desantis worked out a deal with Progressive and they are FORCED to insure in Florida. Perhaps, not fair of me. I will not consider PROGRESSIVE unless they are the ONLY
company.
Tower was GREAT.
A new roof? Think of a cartoon where they put a pot over the characters head and beat on it for TWO DAYS. We used Bernabys they were great, Showed up as promised. Spotless clean up. Patient with all my dumb questions. HAPPY CAMPER.. .
We went with Tower. The other was mail order and perhaps old school

State Farm was good for us a few months ago, so there is no need to find someone else.
