Interesting. My SUV visor button works fine. It was programmed by the car dealer using the MVP remote. So, there must be universal remotes available that work.

I,ve purchased replacement wall units and remotes on ebay. They come with instructions or you can find instructiond on line thru search

Order solidremote from Amazon $21.99 get a receiver and two fobs. Will need to purchase 12 volt adapter. Wire receiver to motor or wall controller. Remotes work independently from MVP. Can use solidremote and MVP or dispose of MVP remotes if you want.

I am GUESSING your SUV was able to receive the code, and then save it and then able to send it back. Many of the off the shelf universal remotes do not have this capability. I have never implemented this capability in any of our cars as they sit outside and if we forget to look the car, then the house is also unlocked....

After calling the manufacturer who said the product line was discontinued years ago, I purchased a Meross Smart Controller from Amazon. Its works from a downloaded APP and I use Alexa. It took me about and hour to install and works with my remaining controllers.
