From all the posts, it seems there are some locations that have really great, responsible and caring Carriers who are doing a good job. Some locations like mine in Lady Lake may have individual Carriers who aren't as performance-oriented and are the cause of the issues. And with outside contractors as someone indicated, some individual Carriers may be less motivated to accuracy as there doesn't appear to be any consequences and many on here have expressed that I/we should just accept substandard service as the norm for the USPS and just live with the inconveniences and, sometimes, costs.

Will our main mail still be routed through the LL facility before arriving at our postal station?
I'm new here also and don't know the answer. My mail station is Chula Vista. It seems some people have really great Carriers and rarely have an issue and others are experiencing on-going issues.

Will do that very suggestion and talk with the LL PM. I don't know the Carrier nor have any idea when they may be there without sitting there waiting for them. I also need to find the package that was put in a parcel locker since I paid over $150 for the product plus an addition $45 in postage (items for lanai repair).

Did you have tracking or insurance on the items ordered? Have you notified the vendor that the items were not delivered? Have you challenged the charge on your CC?

The Tracking number is how I know it was delivered. Tracking says it was "Delivered, Parcel Locker, Lady Lake, FL 32159". Don't know if the shipper put insurance on it or not. It's sitting in a parcel locker, I just don't know which one since there wasn't a key put in my mailbox. Hoping the LL PM will know who the Carrier is (staff or contractor) and have them look for it. I'm assuming that they can open locked parcel lockers, but I'm really not sure.

There is no door on the inside access to the lockers.

Update: just checked the tracking on an order I placed that came to $150 and it says it was delivered to a "parcel locker" a couple of days ago. So ... no key in my mailbox for a parcel locker; no note from the Carrier or however they tell you which parcel locker. Or, maybe I'm unfamiliar with the parcel locker set up and someone can enlighten me so I can figure out what parcel locker my order is located. This will now make SIX in 30 days plus the 3 unscanned packages. Also, to note, the packages and mail misdelivered isn't forwarded mail, it's mail with my correct name and current address. One person that was up at the boxes when I got someone else's mail told me that she just shoves it through her mailbox onto the floor behind the boxes and, hopefully, the Carrier will pick it up. She said that's what most do as -- her words -- "it happens every day". Thank you for your reply though. It's nice to know that not everyone thinks accepting poor customer service from the USPS is just something that should be expected and accepted.
I've had the same problem with Amazon saying they left my package in a "parcel locker" but it doesn't seem to get to me. I sent and email to USPS asking them to look in to but haven't gotten a response yet. I guess someone could just get my package and decide they wanted it and that is the end of that story. Second time this happened. First time I paid $10 for priority mail and was told five days in a row that it was in my box and it showed up 10 days later.

UPS allows you to redirect USPS packaged to direct delivery.

UPS SurePost: UPS - United States

UPS SurePost® is an economy, residential, ground service.

This service combines the consistency and reliability of the UPS Ground network with final delivery typically provided by the U.S. Postal Service.

Note: UPS My Choice® Members can upgrade a UPS SurePost package to UPS Ground for an additional fee. Once upgraded, Members can use the features available with their Membership to reschedule or redirect delivery to an alternate address or to The UPS Store®. Upgraded packages typically arrive one day earlier.

Always say hi to our mail people, give them a good tip at Christmas, thank them--and you'll get the right mail, boxes, etc. This works everywhere.

Yea, I got it. This was the original thread. Disregard the "if you don't like it move" responses or "go ask the postmaster" responses! That's generally the SOP response for any gripe here! Only certain people are allowed to complain around here on an anonymous internet forum where about the only fun is to complain about something (usually dog poop or golf carts driving over 20MPH).

Mail station person signed for a package for me. Is that "legal" ?

As for "exceptional customer service" you are referring to, you have to remember, this is the USPS the butt of jokes since the days of the pony express.

There's no reason or excuse that so many of us are having these frustrating, time-consuming and sometimes costly experiences with the post office(s) here in TV. I've been accused of being a "newbie" stirring the pot and causing trouble -- (that one made me LOL -- wondered what the timeframe was to not be a newbie - SMH). I'm a retired executive from the corporate world and now own a very small "craft-type" business. Customer service is key to success in ANY business inclusive of our government or quasi-government entities. It's unfortunate that those in charge don't seem to understand the concept and whine about the financial struggles of the post office as UPS and FedEx continue to gain ground. Maybe this new Post Master General will have a clue on how to run a business. As with all businesses, success starts with exceptional customer service in MHO.

I got a noticed saying my package was delivered to mail box on May 5, still not here. Went to Pennecamp mail station on Sat, girl (new person) knew nothing and said guy was out delivering. Went back Monday guy (new person) said he had nothing for us there and didn't remember a pkg for 2170 Markridge. Well, we got a pkg Sat and Friday with no problem but not the pkg we're looking for. It was scanned as being in our mail slot. Sent help request to USPS. I notified Ebay seller but it's not their problem, it's on our end.
