I've lived in TV for one month exactly today. Thus far, I've had my mail misdelivered twice, have received someone else's mail once and have had 2 packages misdelivered. This doesn't include the 3 priority mail prepaid drop-offs that weren't properly scanned (i.e., renders tracking number useless). Before people jump on here to say "just deliver it yourself to the person" -- which, both they and I have done -- I find all of these misdelivery issues to be both frustrating and concerning. In the subdivision I lived previously in the Lake Mary area, we had the same issue. Our HOA put up a page on our HOA website where each person could post the date and delivery problems they experienced. After one month, our HOA President set a meeting with the Post Master at the post office to discuss with specifics as all previous conversations and complaints went unheard as the misdelivery issue had been an issue for a very long time (i.e., more than a year). Problem wasn't resolved, HOA escalated to District Office and that finally resolved it. I don't know if there's a way for us to track individual misdeliveries to gain a report? I do feel that my experience in just the last 30 days with FIVE pieces of mail & packages misdelivered seems to indicate that the USPS employees aren't focusing on customer service. I'm going to speak with the post master at the Lady Lake post office as she may not necessarily be aware there's a problem. If you've had similar experiences, please post approximately how many times you're aware of misdeliveries and how often they occur. Maybe I've just had 30 days of unusual errant deliveries, but I've seen another posting on here relating to the same issue. I don't think expecting to receive one's mail correctly delivered is asking too much of the USPS. If it happened once in a great while, I'd overlook it; however, FIVE times in 30 DAYS seems excessive and that doesn't include the 3 priority mail packages that weren't properly scanned which makes 8 errors in 30 days. Thank you in advance for any relevant feedback that may be helpful to the Lady Lake Post Master.

So ... do nothing, say nothing, "head in the sand"? I'm not much of a "rug", but other's are entitled to their opinion and their option to accept poor customer service and just "be happy".

![]() You are talking about the USPS. Maybe a head has been in the sand if USPS "customer service" levels are a surprise. Five errors. Could be new personnel. Just breath and see if it improves......you won't get sand in your hair, but you could be a happier person. ![]()

I don’t know about the OP, but I would be mightily annoyed to have someone be so dismissive about valid concerns.

I think it is not unusual for mail to be misdelivered when an address change occurs. It happened to us a few times at first and then pretty much never happens anymore.
My suggestion is first to talk to the postal worker at your mailbox. Let them know, politely. If it continues let the postmaster know. It is easy and understandable to get upset about misdelivered mail, I just think there are more important things to be upset about. I am sure it will get better soon. |

If you are going to speak with someone at the Lady Lake Post Office, you will need to go there in person seeing as nobody there ever answers the phone.

Wrong! If one gives up calling - they will get no answer...if they are persistent - the phone will be answered. At lease that's how it has worked for me - not to mention how helpful the folks there have been!

We had a package delivered that came to our address, correctly, but 2 days later than original delivery date. However instead of placing it on our front door, or even near the door, it was left in the middle of the driveway. 9feet, away from garage door, and in the middle of the driveway. Weight on package 5.4 lbs.
We were in Gainesville, received notice delivered, at front door, however our cameras didn’t go off. Before we left Gainesville, heavy rain started, the entire way, home. By the time we got home the package still sitting in the middle of the drive was soaked thru to the contents. While damage was covered by shipper, customer service couldn’t believe, the photo of the box sitting in the rain. Since we didn’t ship they will be contacting USPS |

I can empathize with those having mail delivery issues. I have lived here 11 years, and have had great experience with mail delivery. However, team has changed and service has deteriorated. In two weeks time, as example, five errors—three misdeliveries of others mail to me, and two lost (ultimately got to me) packages. I tried to bring it to the attention of mail crew with terrible results. I a, careful in dealing with workers, and certainly not aggressive or rude. However, the response toward me was abusive. It is an exercise in futility to communicate with post office as there is no access or response.
One package delivered to me was a huge box, meant for another person. There is no way to get them to return and deliver it correctly. I had to hoist it in my golf cart and get it to the intended party. Seems to me there is a need for quality controls and feedback. I would think if there was an issue, the local crew would want to know. Unfortunately, not in my postal station. |

What was the response when you discussed the issue with your carrier?

I know, right. I'm surprised at some of these snarky comments insinuating that I should be just fine with not receiving my mail, receiving others mail and/or not getting my packages that I paid for. Or, that I shouldn't complain about poor mail delivery service because I'm a "newbie" (LOL). Update: just checked the tracking on an order I placed that came to $150 and it says it was delivered to a "parcel locker" a couple of days ago. So ... no key in my mailbox for a parcel locker; no note from the Carrier or however they tell you which parcel locker. Or, maybe I'm unfamiliar with the parcel locker set up and someone can enlighten me so I can figure out what parcel locker my order is located. This will now make SIX in 30 days plus the 3 unscanned packages. Also, to note, the packages and mail misdelivered isn't forwarded mail, it's mail with my correct name and current address. One person that was up at the boxes when I got someone else's mail told me that she just shoves it through her mailbox onto the floor behind the boxes and, hopefully, the Carrier will pick it up. She said that's what most do as -- her words -- "it happens every day". Thank you for your reply though. It's nice to know that not everyone thinks accepting poor customer service from the USPS is just something that should be expected and accepted.
