Do not place the item(s) at your curbside until your scheduled pickup day. Bulk pickup service is different for different Districts. For information on your district, see Bulk Pick-Up - The Villages Community Development Districts .

I live in District 5 and have used bulk pickups for a dishwasher, microwave, and flat-panel TV.

Call bulk pickup in The Villages. The trash collectors will never take a mattress

The regular trash truck took it way.

Schedule a pickup. Easy....

For Districts 1-11, there will be a $10 charge added to your utilities and amenities bill each time a bulk pick-up is requested. To schedule a bulk pick-up for Districts 1-11, call 352-748-0109.
For Districts 12-15, residents are not charged an additional fee. To schedule a bulk pick-up for Districts 12-15, call 352-750-0000.
A bulk item pick-up will need to be scheduled for larger items such as:
• BBQ grills
• Flat-screen TVs
• Ironing boards
• Electronics (computers, stereo equipment, monitors etc.)
• Furniture (oversized chairs, mattresses, box springs, etc.)

If you live in (or know someone) Lake County there is a recycle/trash drop off site off of Rolling Acres. A proof of residency is necessary.

I have been there and they are selective on what they will take . Anyone planning on going there should check the website for accepted items. The landfill in Tavares takes almost everything

Habitat for Humanity picked up ours. As long as it is clean and not torn, stained or ripped they will take it.
