A family that I have been helping was having trouble with their car remote key FOB. I took it to the dealer to replace the battery. "Sorry, it's not the battery. The remote FOB needs to be replaced and reprogrammed. It will cost $400 to do it." I figured I would buy a FOB online and then find a locksmith to program it. Turns out it isn't that easy. You think you are buying the correct FOBS, but I had a lot to learn. I ended up with a variety of FOBS. I contacted Brian Kessler, owner of Lock It Up, Inc. and he agreed to meet me with the vehicle and my assortment of FOBS and keys. He checked all of my devices, told what was good and what wasn't. He worked patiently to put together pieces of the devices so that I ended up with 2 new FOBS and a new outside case for a third one that was missing a piece.
I tell you all of this because Brian didn't have to do all of this. He wanted to make the most of what I gave him. He charged much less than what just one would cost at the dealer.
