Default Kitchen cabinets - what type of wood

I know others have the same kitchen cabinets that were put in our home, but, no one knows what type of wood they are. They are a light color - but - they are pinkish? Sounds strange I know - but, if you look at them a certain way they are pinkish.

Anyone else have these? Did you keep them that way - and if you did - what color did you paint your kitchen.

Thank you

I have those cabinets too (called "bisque"). Mine also have a definite pink color. They're being painted creamy white the first week in April.

Nope, just kidin. Our cabnetry is Light Oak. But in our kitchen I added a stone back splash that is tan to goldish and the walls are KY. Blue. Looks good. There really is not a lot of wall space so it's not overpowering.

Just could't resist touting Kentucky. It's going to be an exciting March.

We have the cabinets you are describing. My first impression was that they did appear to have a pink color. When we made settlement, I found a sample of the cabinets in our kitchen drawer. The cabinets were made by Bailey Industries Inc. 2320 W. Montclair Road, Leesburg, Fl 34748. The cabinet color is called "Merillat Frost Oak."

I rather like it! We haven't done much in the line of decorating since we are not permanent residents yet however, I am considering doing a beach theme. It just seems to evoke sand and cool breezes. I would NEVER paint them another color. Use your imagination. Some may not like them but then again my momma always said, "that's why they make chocolate and vanilla."

To each their own.

Default Cabinets

Call Bailey's Design Center in Spanish Plaines Shopping Center 751-4215.
The designers know the cabinet info and they have cabinets in their showroom there.
