Default Injured grey crane

Can anyone offer guidance on how to assist an injured grey crane seen on the havana golf course? The suffering bird, about 3-4' tall apparently has a broken leg and as well, appears to be unable to fly. The bird can only hop from spot to spot.
We get within inches of the bird to feed it, but the bird needs more than food; it needs medical assistance. Calls made to (2) animal agencies in sumter county were to no avail. Their response was to "let nature take its course".
Is there anyone who can offer advise or do more to help this suffering bird, other than................"nature"?

"Let nature take its course." What a cold answer. I agree with Quirky3 -- bless you for a caring for what happens to this injured bird.
