Default How does one mail a package in The Villages?

We are new to The Villages. Is there a way to mail a package without going to a Post Office outside of The Villages? Thank you.

Safe Ship in Colony Plaza can mail your package. There is also Villages Pack and Ship in La Plaza Grande, and another Safe Ship in Southern Trace Plaza.

What I was think about is something like ans Express Mailer from the PO where you and put anything that fits in an envelope/box and mail it for a flat fee...something like $5-$6. Would I have to go to the PO?

I use Priority Mail (USPS) quite often. You can print the postage from your computer printer, and schedule a pickup, often the next day, right at your front door. This may not help you out this time, but the postal service will also deliver (free of charge) mailing supplies (envelopes and boxes).

You could call the PO and ask, but my guess would be a PO

Do you need to have a priority mail envelope (that has priority mail stamped on it), or can you use a regular envelope?

I don't believe it has to be in a Priority Box, unless you ship it flat rate. You will need to weigh it, and enter that info. Visit USPS.com, and look for the tab that reads Mail and Ship.

I know you don't want to visit the post office. MYbe one time go and pick up some priority envelopes and boxes and ask about shipping them from home. Ask for the station manager or mail manager. They usually are very helpful. Then you will be set for when you do need to ship something. Plus you don't pay the extra fee these shipping stores will charge you.

Why not go to the post office in the Villages? Without leaving the Villages you can go to the post office bricks and mortar facility on the historic side located at:
23 LAGRANDE Blvd, Lady Lake, FL 32159.
Post Office in Lady Lake, FL - La Plaza Grande Location

I print my own USPS labels on my computer from USPS.com and take the package down to our mail carrier at the mail boxes (if it is small) or take it to the pack and ship in Colony. If it is going UPS I print a lable using my UPS account on line and take it to Pinellas to the UPS store.

Thanks everyone. I located a PO only 10 minutes from where we live. All of this info has been helpful!
