Default How Do I Dispose of Gas Grill Propane Tank

I am moving and I am throwing my gas grill away, having it picked up by Villages Big Bulk Items, however, I assume they won't take the propane tank with it. Yes, it still has gas in it, I haven't used it in over a year. How do I dispose of the propane tank?

- A neighbor might want it for a spare (I would but I already have a spare)
- You could call Home Depot or Lowes to see if they would take an old tank
- From the District Gov Sanitation QA info:
For information on hazardous material disposal, please see the contact information for your county below:
•Sumter County: 352-689-4400
•Marion County: 352-671-8465
•Lake County: 352-343-3776

Can you go to one of those trade-in places, like Home Depot or Lowes, and just trade it in without taking a new tank?
