Default House cleaning at Lopez

I understand that the managment team from the pro on down have been discharged from the Nancy Lopez course. The word I got from semi inside was that there were too many customer complaints. I have no way of knowing if that is the real story.

Hope they do some "housecleaning" inside as well. I was there on Sunday and a dead mouse was found in the sitting area of the lounge and no one on the staff wanted to deal with it. Also the carpeting desperately needs cleaning. The upholstery in the lounge and waiting area is filthy and even has holes in it.

As for the food, I won't be returning there again until I hear the chef has been replaced. I ordered one of the specials of the day and it was dried out and the salad was wilted and brown. The chef who was there in 2004 was the best and the food was consistently great. After he left, it went downhill. You used to have to wait in line to get a table, especially at this time of year, but not anymore. That should say something.

I believe the firings occurred at the golf course only. I know nothing about the restaurant.

Wait, wait, wait. Is this the same Chef who left for Palmer a couple years ago and came back last year I believe?

If so he was the best chef in TV. If he's not at Lopez does anyone know where he went?

When he was at Lopez every meal I had was spectacular. If I had any complaints it was about some of the patrons who tried ripping the restaurant off after consuming the entire meal then complained and refused to pay.

The restaurant graciously accepted this and let them leave without payment.
I saw this happen twice within a 2 month period. Shame, shame.

Went to Lopez last night. Arrived about 6:15. There were people waiting but not a big crowd. Bar area was full. Johnney Alston entertaining!
Our party of 12 had no complaints. Bread sticks n butter fresh & warm. House salad tasty with plenty of salad ingredients & dressing; wife had lobster pillows which she ate everything & I had New Zealand Lamb. Cooked just right, medium to med rare, served with mashed potatoes (real ones) and peas. NO COMPLAINTS at the restaurant.

I just had dinner with someone who works at another of the golf courses and he confirmed that the management staff at Lopez was let go, including the teaching pro. The restaurant is completely seperate and unaffected by the change.
