On occasion I come across a situation with my Chromebook or smart TV that I can't figure out. I can usually Google my issue and find a fix. But sometimes I can't. Also, I would like some advice to make sure I'm doing the right thing to get the best or easiest outcome.

Are there any individual or companies that would come to my house? I talked to the Geek squad and they really don't have this kind of service.

Thanks

MMD in Lady Lake makes home visits. Also The Villages computer club has individuals that will come to your home.

For the Chromebook, I would suggest taking it to Office Depot. They will evaluate the problem for free, and give you a price to fix any issue. Most other places will charge to diagnose a problem.

For a smart TV, buy a Roku stick and forget about the built in features on your TV. A Roku device will transform your TV into a more user friendly smart TV for less than 50 dollars, and it will update itself when needed. And, if you need technical help, most technicians will be more familiar with the Roku features than with a smart TV that they may have never encountered because of the many different software programs being installed by different TV manufacturers.

Reset the Chromebook to its original state. Try a less invasive fix first. This device does not require a tech. They will wind up power washing it anyway,

Buy a Roku device. Other systems have been horrible. Tossed fire stick in garbage

I'd be more than happy to help you with the Chromebook (I've been using one since they first came out).
While Ruko is good, I use a Firestick with only the internet (no cable box).
