Default Hanging Christmas lights on the Lanai

It’s that time of year…. And the better half wants to string lights across the Lanai. We have a block and stucco house and tried to use the 3M Command hooks, with no success. Short of drilling holes and putting hooks in, any other suggestions short of duck or gorilla tape?

Did you Try Outdoor Command strips?

The biggest challenge you may face is getting the Command strips off.

To make this easier, heat up the Command strip with a hair dryer for 30 seconds. Once the adhesive warms up, it should peel off easily

We have a bird cage lanai. Where the lights are strung, in the frame are screws. Husband removed the screw and replaced that spot with a hook where the wire on the lights then hang. PM me if you need more info.

Was not aware that they made Outdoor command strips. I will check into that.

With regards to using existing screw holes, these are on the Stucco, which is likely the problem...

Using a caulk gun with construction adhesive, put a little bit of adhesive onto the correct spot. Place the mounting clip onto the adhesive and stick to the wall until it's firmly in place. Hang your lights up once the adhesive is dry and can bear weight. Google Search
