I don't like the look of gutters, and read another post that warned that gutters had the unintended consequence of changing the planned/engineered water flow of the lot, they filled up with roof gravel, etc. We have gutters in the front, but nothing around the back patio.

Has anyone had experience with Rainhandlers (sold at Home Depot)? They break up the water stream as it comes off the roof (converting from a hard stream back to drops).

I just want to alleviate some of the water hitting the patio so hard (as it will wear away the concrete)..
