We have a 2016 Yamaha gas golf cart that was purchased in 2018. The battery is dead and I assume it needs to be replaced. Can anyone recommend a reputable repair service that will come to the house to replace the battery. Thank you.

I have replaced the battery in our golf carts at least 3 times by myself. By doing it this way, I take to a local autoparts store, and get an exact replacement, and I can chose the 1,2, or 3 year replacement option, and I get the core charge. There is a trick to getting the battery out of the later model Yamaha carts, your need to remove a bolt on the heat shield using about a 12 inch extension and 10 mm socket.
If you cannot do this yourself, then I have used Todd Casey and Willies mobile cart service, my neighbor has used Cart fixer, and any of these can do this work.

I hope you can add checking the oil dip stick and air in tires to that ability. If not you might be hearing knocking sound in future?

Battery Boys just did my 2018 in Feb. for 177 dollars. Price of batteries has gone through the roof.

I'd take the advice of some of the other posters and get a repair guy to check things out. Batteries do die on their own, but a dead battery may mean something as simple as a corroded battery post, in which case taking the cable connector off the battery and cleaning things up with a wire brush might be all that is needed. On the other end of things it could be that the system isn't charging: those carts don't have an independent generator but a starter-generator all-in-one deal that keeps the battery charged, and if it is faulty you're going to need another one of those installed.

Electrical problems with a vehicle are notorious for the headaches they cause. You might pay a little more to have a repair guy come out, but they'll check things out and get it right.
