Default Garage Cabinets with Sliding Doors?

I love Kobalt metal storage cabinets and other sleek better quality cabinets for the garage. The problem is, I cannot find 36 or 48 wide steel rolling cabinets WITH SLIDING doors instead of front pull open doors. I don't have room for opening doors because the vehicle clearance is minimal, and i don't want to build anything permanent with tracks or barn type doors. Has anyone seen durable well-made gray, dark blue, or black cabinets at least 48 or 60" high, with SLIDING doors? I don't want a cheap clothes wardrobe in my garage or anything flimsy that won't support weight either. Thanks.

No idea. But I was wrestling with finding/building more garage storage space and settled on four 10' 2"x10" treated planks with 15" concrete blocks used as spacers, three to a board (bottom board is raised 2" off the floor with bricks). It was relatively cheap, easy to assemble and holds a ton of stuff.

Lady across the street says it looks like her dorm room in college.

I recall seeing some (years ago) that were like a large roll top desk. I did a very quick search and was not successful. You may be able to get some nice steel cabinets, and have someone modify the door mounting so it would slide open.

Global Industries has one that is 36x72 that is welded and comes already assembled. They offer a wide selection of paint colors. The weight per shelf is 160lbs, and there 5 shelves.

The cost is $555.

I know all this because my hubby just ordered some and they should arrive at the end of the month if you want to look at them.

I did some searching and all of the ones I found with SLIDING doors used the barn door sliding type mechanism, and most had ONE door that would slide side to side, or the cabinet was 3 doors wide with 2 doors installed. If you are only looking for one cabinet, you should be able to get the sliding barn door hardware, and install this on a cabinet with the sliders extending beyond the cabinet at the top and bottom.
If your goal is just to hide the stuff in the cabinet, an accordion door or curtain may be suitable to replace the factory doors.
